Flag Ceremony

Flag Raising Ceremony

The Color Guard leader walks to the front of the room and face audience.

Color Guard leader: "Color Guard attention. Audience Attention.  Will the audience please rise."

Give the audience time to rise.

Color Guard leader: "Color Guard, forward march.”

YW carry the US flag to the flag pole.

Color Guard leader: "Halt. Remove the halyards"

      Wait until they have been undone.

Color Guard leader: "Post the colors of the United States of America"

     Wait until they have clipped the first part in.
  
Color Guard leader: "Hand salute."


     Wait until the flag is at the top of the pole. 

Color Guard leader: "Please follow me in the Pledge of Allegiance."

     Repeat the Pledge.

Color Guard leader: "To."

    Wait for everyone to put their hands down.

   Color Guard leader: "Color Guard reassemble."

    Wait for them to get back in line. 

Color Guard leader: "Forward march."

    Wait for them to get back to where they started from. 

Color Guard leader: "Color Guard dismissed. Audience at ease."

Flag Closing Ceremony

The Color Guard leader walks to the front of the room and face audience.

Color Guard leader: "Color Guard attention. Audience Attention.  Will the audience please rise."

Give the audience time to rise.

Color Guard leader: "Color Guard, forward march.”

YW carry the US flag to the flag pole.

Color Guard leader: "Halt. Remove the halyards"

      Wait until they have been undone.

Color Guard leader: "Retrieve the colors of the United States of America.  Hand salute"

Wait until they bring down the flag and un-clip the top and bottom. 

Color Guard leader: "To."

    Wait for everyone to put their hands down, and the for the color guard to fold the flag.

 Color Guard leader: "Color Guard reassemble."

    Wait for them to get back in line. 

Color Guard leader: "Forward march."

    Wait for them to get back to where they started from. 

Color Guard leader: "Color Guard dismissed. Audience at ease."
